So, I've made a mind blowing discovery.
The resin cameos and other small plastic-like charms I've been buying from eBay are actually MADE FROM SILICONE MOLDS.
I am so overwhelmed right now. The money spent buying said charms could've gone to buying molds + materials so I could make everything myself!
I AM NOT BUYING THESE THINGS FROM SELLERS IN CHINA ANYMORE.

I am making this information public! Retail sales be DAMNED!
I wasn't completely unaware that these charms are handmade... but I've never seen the process nor read a detailed explanation. dA artists sometimes put "cupcake made of polymer clay/resin" in their description and I would IMAGINE a teenager using instruments similar to cake icing tools to squirt out a cake and somehow... perfection would be achieved.
